Canceling a Request:
Sometimes it is necessary to delete/cancel a ticket submission. Once again, you can ONLY cancel a ticket if you are signed into Zendesk AND a HelpDesk Agent has been assigned to it. Please see the below steps once both of those thresholds have been met.
- After you’ve logged in, in the upper righthand corner of the screen, you will see your name.
- Click on the down arrow and select Requests.
- It will take you to a list of all your ticket requests. Click on the SUBJECT link of the ticket you want to cancel.
- The next screen will be a detail of your ticket. Under the description box will be an Add to the conversation option and a Mark as solved. Click on the “Add to the conversation” button and explain why you are closing the ticket. Then click “Mark as solved & Submit”- Please see the images below for further clarification.
- If you return to your Requests page, you will see that your ticket has gone from OPEN in red to SOLVED in gray.
- Your ticket has now been officially closed.
